Privacy Policy
VarSage does not transmit your variant data or metadata to external services.
Local processing
All variant interpretation and ranking is performed on the machine running VarSage. Submitted patient files and generated reports stay on that machine for 14 days from submission, then VarSage removes those files while retaining a non-file history fingerprint.
Optional external services
Certain optional features (for example, integrations with third-party annotation or AI services) may contact external APIs if explicitly configured by the user. These integrations are enabled by default.
Session data & cookies
The local web interface may use a session cookie to remember authentication state. Session data is stored locally according to your configuration and is not shared externally.
Data retention & deletion
Analysis history keeps the submission date, mode, genome build, summary counts, status, and fingerprint after the 14-day file retention window. Users can also delete their account, which removes account, session, billing, and saved history metadata.
Reporting concerns
If you discover a privacy-related issue or security vulnerability, please follow the reporting guidance on the Contact page.
